sorry but with the cost of someone sending me flowers in the first place then the LAST thing I would do is give them a tip for bringing them to my door.

Reply:Because people in the food and hospitality industries are paid below minimum wage and/or are considered to be %26quot;waiting%26quot; on customers, whereas flower delivery men are not. The same goes for people who carry out groceries to a customer%26#039;s car. Around here our supermarkets post signs to not tip for this service (of course, we can if we want to).
Reply:When you order a pizza, you don%26#039;t have it sent to someone else%26#039;s house, you have it sent to your own. You order, you pay you tip. When you send flowers, the recipient isn%26#039;t the one paying for it, so I%26#039;d think that they shouldn%26#039;t be expected to tip, especially since receiving them usually comes as a surprise. It is nice, though, to tip $1-2 if you can, it just shouldn%26#039;t be expected.
Reply:I%26#039;d guess it%26#039;s because you know the pizza guy is coming but usually flowers are more of a surprise. At least at my house they are.
